Moment In Beijing -- Solana

Every winter since 2008, Beijing’s high-end shopping center, Solana, has been home to unique light installations which transform the lifestyle hub into a veritable playground of the imagination for people of all ages. This year, British street artist, Filthy Luker – who previously worked on such iconic projects as the 2012 London Olympics – brought his signature playful style to Beijing, turning Solana into a delightful carnival filled with goofy monsters. In addition to spotting all the silly creatures, folks can strap on skates and enjoy the area’s seasonal ice skating rink, indulge in sweet treats from the market, and spend the day exploring a beautiful winter wonderland. The event runs from Dec 4 to Feb 28, 2021, and has become a staple of winter time traditions for expats and Chinese locals alike.
